Voluntarism
In the border between
Myanmar and Thailand there are a lot of refugees from Myanmar that have been
migrated because of armed conflict and absence of work. In this place, is a
small city named Mae Sot, in which burmeses are allowed to live and
recibe some money from inmigrants for staying there, for some money that is not
enought for families in there. Cooperate Myanmar is a proyect that has projects for helping those
people; one of their projects is an nursery school named "Nursery
Chicken School" which is responsible of 104 children for their food and
education; besides of it, this helps increasing the interests of parents taking
them to the school.

What can I do in Myanmar?

Myanmar is a mix of hundreds of cultures like chinese, indian, thai even occidental, this looks reflected on their sculptures, culture, food. If someone wants to visit Myanmar there are a lot of activities like museums, tours, outdoor activities, natural parks, watersports.

- Ballons over Bagan: The balloons fly over the temples of Bagan, people say that is an indescriptible experience because had a different perspective about what will be seen.
- Mergui Archipielago: This place is surrounded by the sea is like a mini island so it is perfect for watersports, diving. There is a interesting fact that the population of the archipelago are called Moken.
- Drug Elimination Museum: This is a particular museum because explains how they start to use drugs and also how they started to reduce te production of opium, is a interesting if you want to know about all this history but also can be a little weird.

Reading center "Banyan Tree" is a library located in Yangon which the main objective of encourage the love of reading in children, the library gives to people books, diaries and newspapers written not only in Burmese but also in English, that in order to cheer the early language instruction, and skills not only to read but also to write, with children there are many activities based on games where children enjoy reading and learning; nowadays the reading center is working in a movil library in order to enlarge their services, if they achieve it, children who lives in rural areas will have many benefits having in mind that they are who need it more.
